site updates

Actor of the Week Updates:

When this site was created, the SFF blog was on the now-defunct GreatestJournal. They were notorious for their image hosting problems, so when I transferred over the Actor of the Week images, some of them were missing. Eleanore Stasheff, the mastermind behind all the AotW awards, re-uploaded them recently. Enjoy:

Quatrain Updates:

All kinds of newness here! Check out the Quatrain page for scene descriptions, movie poster, and wallpaper, plus some extra goodies in the gallery.

A few tweaks to the site:

  • Added a complete cast listing and a new wallpaper for CDPGB (scroll down).
  • Updated the Member List, including listings for CDPGB, a couple of missing members, and links to the Actor of the Week awards.
  • Added a few sites to the Links.
  • Made the Press page a tad easier to navigate.

And that’s about it. Enjoy. :)

I have no idea how many people will actually read this, but I have a favor to ask all you SFF members.

First, check out this here homepage and let me know if there are any misspelled names or other incorrect information, especially on the Members List. Don’t worry about nitpicking – I want everything to be as correct as possible.

Also, if you have any SFF photographs or fanart, please let me know and I’ll upload them to the SFF gallery.

Lastly, if you’ve done anything awesome (especially acting/film-related), PLEASE let me know so I can post about it. We love to promote SFF members.

Thanks!

Happy 10th Birthday to Mind Games!

In July of 1998 we started filming Mind Games and on June 15, 1999 it premiered to the public at the Staerkel Planetarium in Champaign, IL. It was a ground-breaking movie for SFF because of its use of lighting, camera angles, unique sets, and good direction from Edward and Eleanore Stasheff.

To celebrate, we’ve added an all new Mind Games photo album, a newspaper article about the 1999 premier in the Press section, and a new anniversary poster by Eleanore Stasheff.

Hats off to one of SFF’s best films!

I transcribed the text from the Pandora’s Box in the Press section. (Turns out it was from a September 2000 issue of the now-defunct Octopus.) Since the internet is so ephemeral I plan on copying the Micro-Film Magazine interview at some point, but that will have to happen at another time.

I added the captions to all the Actor of the Week pictures I had. I haven’t put them into their own page yet so I can list them in chronological order (that’s going to be a big pain), but all the information is in the gallery. Enjoy.

I will continue to work on this later, but for now all the show info is up and all the photos are uploaded.

Things left to do:

  • Actor of the Week archives (though you can see the photos here)
  • Captions on Quatrain images
  • Transcription of Pandora’s Box article
  • Fun stuff (quizzes, dollz, etc.)
  • Probably some other stuff that I’m forgetting.

As you can see, this website is currently undergoing massive renovations. Check back in a day or two. In the meantime, feel free to check out photos or LiveJournal community.
